what is this worth????

I have this 24k gold plated tea pot and 4 wine goblets.
it says that they are from italy.
it also says elweco on the bottom
i dont know what this means
i just want to know what these are worth .
OR what i should sell these at.

Make up a nice story about how precious these are for you and how much they mean to you and how you brought them from Italy, and they belonged to your great great grandmother, etc.. LOL and then put the ad on ebay on a Wednesday evening. You’ll find out how much the set is worth. Right now, the market is okay. There are times when people aren’t buying anything. For example, during the recession, it was very hard to sell anything on ebay.

Unfortunately, if something is gold plated, it is usually very cheap. If it is made of solid gold, then yes, it’s worth a lot of money. But gold plated items are in great abundance, so don’t expect more than $30 – $40 for the whole set.

You’ll never know the real price unless you put it for sale. It’s one thing for someone to say that it’s worth say $500. Unless you actually sell it, you’ll never know the real price of the set.
