Is it fair to ask to split the cost of party when I wasn’t listed as host on invitation?
My sister sent out an email to my brother and I about throwing my mom a surprise birthday party. I said that was great. I offered to do the invitations but she said she would take care of it. She then asked me if I would supply all the beer, wine, ice tea and sangria and she would supply the house and food. When I received the invitation my name was no where on it. Should I still be expected to supply that when I am not a host?
It should be whatever you agreed upon. If you said you’d pay half you should pay half. Aren’t you ‘gifting’ the party to your mom?
