mini wine fridge
Whats the diffrence between a mini fridge and a mini wine celler?

Alright so Im a college kid looking for a nice mini fridge that looks nice, keeps my food/beverages cold, and a lock on it. Right now im looking at this mini wine cellar on bestbuy.com and its about exactly what I’m looking for. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Danby+-+Premier+35-Bottle+Wine+Cellar+-+Black/9456536.p?id=1218108028842&skuId=9456536 Im just wondering if its bbasicallythe same thing as mini fridge or would it make a ddifferenceat all.

I didn’t look at that one, but you’d want to make sure the temperature was actually the same as for a refrigerator (though they may be adjustable).
Wine is best kept at “cellar” temperature which is 50 F, but foods need to be kept at 40 F or below.

Otherwise, the wine ones might have racks or something so the corks are kept wet, and may be more expensive in general just because they’re a specialized item.

There may be other locks you could use on a regular mini frig though.

**** ADDED LATER:

Wow, that’s really expensive…you should be able to get even a large mini frig for $100 or so, even less.
I didn’t see if the racks were removable though, or if there were optional shelves included, which would be helpful for holding bottles and cartons of liquids that weren’t that size, much less foods, bowls, plates, et

***AND LATER:
Check out some of these which may have locks (regular mini-frig’s):

…and you may want a freezer compartment too, if small (those would be 0 F)

***PLUS:
this previous question seems to have info about buying a lock for a regular mini-frig:
