Purple Wine Glass

Charcoal walls, black crown molding, Burgundy wood floors?

We have a 400 square foot family room upstairs with 4 walls and 3 huge windows. We want to have the walls painted dark charcoal, black crown molding and Burgundy wood floors. Has anyone did something similar? We have a dark purple sectional couch that sits 10 people, we have a black coffee table with marble top. We are going to have a black iron wine rack with glass on top. I am just curious at to how it will look.
Ceiling will be white and the blinds are white. We are going to add colorful pics.

Tres chic and very sophisticated. In my 30 years in interior design, I usually don’t see Americans venturing into such bold color schemes, but it is very common in Europe. The only other addition I might add for warmth and to anchor such a large sofa is an area rug in front of the couch and extending under the coffee table.

BTW my own family room has charcoal walls, black crown molding and fireplace mantle, a red and gold ceiling, burgundy flooring, a large marble coffee table, a burgundy leather wing backed chair and a duponi silk and chenille settee anchored by a large wool area rug. So I obviously love the color combination! LOL
