Premium Wine

There’s tinsel on the tree that’s sparkling

And the mistletoe is hung just fine

A 16-pound roaster’s in the oven

Dad brought home a special bottle of wine

There’s chestnuts roasting on the fire

Conversation and eggnog with friends

Children are waking up from their sugar-plum dreams

How we wish this day would never end

But even without the tinsel

Or the family feast that’s about to be served

Even without presents or sugar-plums

We still receive much more than we deserve

God gave us His child, to a virgin born

That’s the real celebration on Christmas Day

A child who grew to offer salvation

A child to wash all our sins away

So God bless you sweet Jesus

And happy birthday to you today

You are the gift that gives forever
