Retail workers…what is your best “returned purchase” story?

I had a customer bring in $300 of merchandise, her husband had paid for the merchandise with his credit card, she wanted the money put back on her credit card. When I told her I couldn’t do that, she got furious. Said they were getting a divorce and he had no right to the money. I said “actually, YOU have no right to profit over something he may still be paying for.”
Also had a customer return a wine rack, still had the tags on it, still had the receipt. She had bought it 7 years ago and “didn’t want it”. The last price I could find on it was $9.95 (clearance) The company inventory book showed “0″. She paid $39.95 for it and got mad that I would only offer her the $9.95. Which I thought was more than generous, considering our return policy is 60 days and this was WELL past the 60 days.

A woman walk into a store with an cd crushed saying that she bought it and wanted a refund for it I asked her was it cracked when you bought it. she said that she was going sky diving and it fell out of the plane. When I said that we could not give her a refund she asked to talk with my manger. She explaned the story to him and he just started cracking up.
