I want to cut the bottom off wine bottles, I tried a plan glass cutter but it didn’t work How do I cut it ?

I need the bottom of the bottels smooth.

In the late 1970′s, my folks had a special glass-cutter for bottles !! It was a “turning- table” that used two-cutting blades. It worked fairly well… but you always had to polish the cut-area after.

My folks turned dozens of bottle-bottoms into juice-glasses.
