Is It Possible To Drill Through a Wine Glass Stem?

I have a wonderful idea for a chandelier but I can’t find any information. Is it possible to drill through a wine glass base and stem? If so, what do I need to do it and where can I get the tools?

Sure it’s POSSIBLE, is it easy–no!
Go to a hardware store and get a small drill bit made for drilling through glass or ceramic tile… a corded or cordless drill would be a good idea as well as goggles and gloves!
