I have tan ceramic tile in my kitchen the walls and counter tops are pretty close to the same color help!?

just had the tile put in and painted the walls but when I took a step back I realized there is no contrast so I am wanting to change the counter tops but im so lost on what color to choose my kitchen has a tuscany theme you know grapes/wine and I have burgundy curtains and maple cabinets.any ideas would be appreciated.

With both your tiles and walls about the same color, you have created a neutral background and can pretty much use any color scheme without it looking busy. To warm up the color scheme, you might consider using some copper accents. What about a copper colander filled with grapes, and lemons and/or Italian tiles hanging on the walls? The tiles could also be used as trivets when the need arose. as trivets with designs of grapes on them? With your color scheme, you could change it down the road to black, whiite and tan or bring in dark greens and golds. There is so much you can do with those colors. Now, if you want to have a problem, you should have been the place my parents bought ages ago. The previous owner had the porcelain in the kitchen and bathroom a pale pink with tiles, floors and walls to match. OK, if you like pink, but there was not too much you could do to change the color scheme without a big investment. For non-pink lovers, it was a horror…
