I want to go to school to study wine…..?

Are there any schools online or in CT/ NY area that offer this? I would have to go part time and would be a commuter.

Cornell University and the Culinary Institute of America offer studies in viticulture and oenology. These are full-time, four-year programs, and cannot by their very nature be done online. How could you develop a palate without sharing and discussing wine? How could you test and compare soil samples without a laboratory?

If it is just a wine-tasting course you’re interested in, there are many in NY. The shortest and cheapest are those offered by the Learning Annex. There are also courses offered at The New School University that are also very reasonably priced.

If you’d like to earn a certificate, and to get a bit more in depth than just a single class, you may want to check out Harriet Lembeck’s, or the French Culinary Institute.
