What exactly is meant by “You Sack Of Wine”? A quote by Brad Pitt as and insult to king aggamenmon in the movie Troy.
classic greek insult? i cant find any solid proof of this being a legit insult or exact proof of what it means.
the scene takes place in a tent when they are taking the priestess away from brad pitt. he is angered and calls the king a sack of wine.

I think he’s making a reference to Aggamemnon being no better than pig’s guts. Wine was stored in the empty stomach of a pig or goat back then. Therefore, to be called a sack of wine would be like saying he is as disgusting as the gut of an animal.
