HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FERMENT WINE?

alright so here’s my plan :)
i’m going to bring supplies to ferment wine in the school locker room. but what do you need? just grapes, yeast, a balloon, and container?
but i need to know how long it will take to ferment..because i am hoping to do it all within one sport season in highschool.

6 – 8 weeks

As for equipment, a glass container is better than a plastic one, and a proper air lock would be better than a balloon.

You will also need someting to sterilise everything with before use, a tube to syphon the wine off after it has finished working, and has cleared (plus a 2nd container to put it in for a 2nd clearing before bottling/drinking).

You may also need some sort of finings if it doesn’t clear properly, fullers earth or isinglas will do the job.
