Anyone had experience using the Pump-N-Seal vacuum sealer/marinator on rare tobaccos? Sounds VERY interisting.

I use my Pump-N-Seal for almost all fresh, raw and cooked foods and expensive wines to keep them tasty and prolong freshness. My husband asked if it would work on his rare/expensive pipe tobaccos. I said yes… he is skeptical… he wants experienced confirmation. I told him just put it in any appropriately sized jar with a soft seal material in the lid, perhaps with a slice of apple, then pump-n-seal it and keep it in the refrigerator. I contacted the manufacture/distributor at pump-n-seal.com and they said there was no better way, but hubby says they are, of course, biased??

I’m assuming that a Pump and Seal is something like a cryovac machine. It takes the air out of whatever you are trying to keep fresh ? If this is the case then your husband should be lucky that you found this item. I use mine to keep my “tobacco” fresh all the time. Also, after I seal the “tobacco” I keep it in the refrigerator for more freshness.
