wine storage
Does red wine go bad when un-opened? If so, improper storage; exposure to light; exposure to heat (30C/90F) ?

hell yes&it’s sedimented,corky,musty small/flavour is horrid!(if opened)
Always best to re-cork it with the original cork(from the bottle)&lowest part of fridge.Consume with in 2-3days max(or cook a beef burgandy)with it.
Obviously they should be stored in a cool dark place, but there’s only so much you can do with it once opened&just a fridge to rely on.
For un-opened bottles,if stored correctly (cool/dark )on it’s side,it will almost last for ever, this is the most desirable way to mature&protect it&it will only get better with proper storage.Do not expose to light(sunlight)Store in basement is good(closer to the ground, mellow temp)
Red wine is always best served at room temperature.
CELLER provides the optimum humidity(not heat)&the ideal temperature range is 50-55f(10-16c)
Here’s a website to suss out.
