wood wine racks
Metallic Spray Paint On Wood?

Basicallyyyyyyyyyyy…….
I am making a wine rack for a school project, and part of the stoppers (to stop the bottles rolling) are meant to be made from metal rods/dowels. But teacher said just do from wood and spray paint metal colour, NOT SURE if this will look great though?
Got any suggestion?
Or any links to cheap spray paint stuff?

what is primer?

I’ve done this and it really looks OK. You use plain wood dowels, spray them first with two coats of primer, and then nail them with two coats of metallic silver spray paint. Any hardware store will carry spray paints (we pay between $5-6 a can here in the US).

Spraying is better for this than brushing since there are no brush marks.
